Safety Data Sheets (SDS) includes information such as the properties of each chemical; the physical, health, and environmental health hazards; protective measures; and safety precautions for handling, storing, and transporting the chemical.
Before you begin using a new material, review the SDS and identify hazards.
This will include, but is not limited to irritants, corrosives, flammable and combustible materials, etc. (SDS) are there to better you understand the proper use, storage and disposal of every supply you are using in your art making practice. It is important to have a copy of the SDS for each hazardous chemical used in your studio and to understand the SDS information. Manufacturers are are required to provide information about the hazards in a standard format.
Below is a list of SDS sheets for common printmaking supplies. If you don't find the material here, you can always check with the manufacturer of the specific product you are using, or check out the SDS Hyper
